Bandana Sharma of Maple Bear Pre-School Learning Center, Palam Vihar organized a celebration of “Joy of Giving Day” with our tiny tots. There were fun filled games and exchange of gifts for the little children.
Concern India Foundation’s SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environment) Lab at DIKSHA had a visitor from Spain. Lesley has been a Skype “Granny” for Class 4 since the inception of the Lab. The children were delighted to meet her in person and spent the morning making wonderful arts and craft and playing games with her.
SAP conducted an information session with the girl students from Classes 6 upwards on Menstrual Health and Hygiene. Among other factors, this session also cover information on safe disposal of used sanitary napkins. They also donated three months supply of napkins. We thank the SAP team for taking this initiative in our ongoing partnership.

A self Safety Skills Workshop for prevention of Child Sexual Abuse was conducted by Sangeeta Rangadham from Bangalore for children under 9 years for Nursery and KG classes. It was very informative and beneficial.
About 20 Diksha children attended a wonderful workshop on the Basics of Photography. It was conducted by Amisha Shahra, Vinay Kumar and Luis Leonidas. The three groups led by the three teachers produced magical moments on their cameras. The session helped them to consider hobby and career options.

An informative seminar was given by Lt.General Narayan Chatterjee to students of Classes 10 to 12 on the Basics of Army Recruitment. Several students are aspiring to join the Indian Army and the Seminar answered many of the frequently asked questions related to basic qualifications and requirements for enrollment for soldiers and officers. We thank Lt General Chatterjee for taking the time to guide the students in their careers. Thanks to Vivek Pandey for assisting with the Presentation setup.
DIKSHA friend Sanna Valvanne brought her Sing and Shine Choir from Finland bringing in peace and love through their unique free movement style of singing and sharing joy. The fundraising event at the Celebrity Clubhouse was very well received. Food and beverages were served by Bueno Cafe.
