Diksha opened its doors to well wishers and supporters for this year’s vibrant Harmony Mela. The highlight was the Diksha Stall which was packed with handmade and handcrafted items made by the children and teachers and was the result of many hours of creative efforts at Diksha’s Vocational School. Bueno Foods showcased food prepared by our summer interns. The Bhelpuri stall was run by our own young chefs and its proceeds were dedicated in loving memory of Indira Chatterjee, friend and supporter of Diksha who passed away suddenly on Oct 5th. It was her inspiring idea of providing self powerment and boosting self confidence in the children, that the Bhelpuri stall was initiated three years ago and it is in her memory that the stall will continue every year as it did so successfully this year. We sincerely thank all our wonderful vendors for adding to the ambience of the Mela and making it a huge success.
